Good Practice – quality services from the moment you step through the door

Please tell us about your experience when you walk through the door at your GP practice.

Going to the doctors can be an anxious time for some people.  For others, especially if they have a long-term health condition, it’s a more routine event. Some people may need extra support at the surgery such as a bit more time, privacy or having someone explain things to them, other people just need to see a friendly face when they arrive.

Everyone is different but we want to make sure every patient has the best possible experience when they visit their local practice or medical centre.

We would like to ask you some questions about going to see your GP or practice nurse. We are interested in how you felt about every aspect of your visit – from making an appointment, talking to the receptionist when you arrive, waiting to see the GP, nurse or another health professional and your appointment itself.

North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will be working with local GP practices and Patient Participation Groups (PPGs), to understand what makes a good visit to the GP or nurse and making improvements to ensure patients and their families or carers have the best experience possible.

Your answers will help us to do this. If you are already happy with how things are at your local practice please tell us and share what you think is good as this will also help other practices and medical centres.

We will be asking the same questions again in nine months to see if people notice positive improvements and will keep the public up to date with our findings through our website.
