Helping the NHS stay fit and well for years to come

Members of the public in North East Lincolnshire are being invited to work with Accord Members and the local NHS to help tackle some of the big challenges facing health and care services.

The Accord Annual Meeting takes place on Thursday September 14th from 10am until 12.30pm at Centre4, Wootton Road, Grimsby.

People will get the chance to listen to the Trust that runs Grimsby Hospital and have their say about the recent temporary changes on safety grounds to some parts of the Urology and Ear, Nose and Throat services and help develop plans for the future of those and other hospital services.

There will be an update from the CCG and a session focussing on Adult Social Care funding priorities. All sessions will be interactive with the audience able to ask questions as well as give their views using voting machines.

“As a patient or carer, it sometimes feels like change is something that happens to you,” said Trevor Brooks, chair of the Accord Steering Group. “Here in North East Lincolnshire we have the opportunity to be a part of shaping that change and doing our bit to ensure the NHS stays fit and well for future generations.”

The meeting will be followed by the CCG AGM.

If you are keen to be involved, but are unable to make this meeting, then a bite size evening session will be held on 19th September from 6pm to 8pm also at Centre4.
