‘According to you’… come and join us to talk about health and social care plans for people in North East Lincolnshire

‘According to you…’ provides an opportunity for local people to meet, listen to and discuss local health and social care plans with NHS commissioners. This invitation is open to everyone in North East Lincolnshire who has an interest in local health and care services, you don’t have to be a member of Accord to attend. Here are the details:

Thursday September 8th 2016 from 10am (9.30am for coffee and registration) to 12.45pm

At this meeting you will be able to share your experiences of local healthcare and give your views on some of the local health and care plans that we hope will transform the health and care services available in our area.

Highlights include

Hear about how local people have been involved in developing health and social care plans and influencing decision making

Information about the big challenges for the NHS and social care locally and our plans to ensure our health and social care system can live within its means while protecting, prioritising and safeguarding people who have the most complex care needs in our community.

A chance to meet representatives from Thames Ambulance services the new Patient Transport Service providers

A choice of six in-depth discussion groups covering a wide range of current ‘hot topics’ for local health and social care services, including... 

  1. How can we maintain good Primary Care Services into the future? with Julie Wilson, Assistant Director Programme Delivery Primary Care Strategy
  2. Transforming Urgent and Emergency Care services with  Andy Ombler, Urgent and Emergency Care Service Lead
  3. The draft children’s Autistic Spectrum Diagnosis (ASD) pathway being developed from existing ASD services with families and practitioners with Michelle Barnard, Assistant Director Women’s and Children’s Services
  4. Plans to help people get the right information and advice as and when needed to support health and wellbeing with Leigh Holton, Service Manager Adult Social Care
  5. The Mental Health Crisis Concordat – Experiences of how people in North East Lincolnshire access support in a Mental Health Crisis with Angie Dyson, Disabilities and Mental Health Service Lead
  6. Proposals to pilot a community cardiology service for patients with cardiology conditions  registered with a GP in North East Lincolnshire with Lydia Golby, Nursing Lead for Quality
