Humber Acute Services Review - Focus Group Feedback Report April 2019

You may remember that earlier this year we invited Accord members who have experience of Cardiology & Critical Care (A&E) services to attend an engagement event held at the Pelham Suite in Grimsby as part of the Humber Acute Services Review.

The Humber Acute Services Review is a review of acute hospital services across the five main hospital sites in the Humber – Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby; Scunthorpe General Hospital; Goole and District Hospital; Hull Royal Infirmary; and Castle Hill Hospital. It focuses on six acute services – Cardiology, Complex Rehabilitation, Critical Care, Neurology, Stroke, and Harmatology/Oncology. The event held in Grimsby was one of a series of workshops held across the Humber region, with each focusing on specific services. Thank you to everyone who gave up their time to attend the event.

Around 120 people from across the region contributed to discussions about hospital-based services and shared a wealth of knowledge and experience for us to learn from. The feedback we gathered has now been brought together into a summary report, which has been published on the Review website. The feedback has also been shared with the teams involved in the review of services and will continue to be fed into considerations about the future design of services in our area.
