Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance free cancer awareness sessions for November are now available to book onto.

In just 90-minutes, you can learn how to spot the early signs of cancer within a fun and interactive environment. We will also teach you about cancer prevention, national cancer screening programmes, and much more!

In the UK, one in two of us will be diagnosed with cancer in our lifetime. If cancer is found early, treatment can be simpler and more successful.

By joining our community of over 3,500 Cancer Champions, you can learn how to engage in conversations that promote early diagnosis and can help to save lives.

Anyone can become a Cancer Champion. No prior knowledge of cancer is required and once you have completed the training you will receive a digital handbook, Cancer Champion certificate and badge.

Jo Foster Head of Health and Social Care at Wyke Sixth Form College undertook the training with a group of students and said: “Our students can now not only talk to their friends and family about cancer they can also take this training forward in their careers”.
