Caring for our Communities 2022 - still time to book your place!

There's still time to book your place at our next free virtual event which is being held on Wednesday 26th January, 5pm- 6.15pm, and is a chance to find out more about our local health and care services.

Since the start of the pandemic, people have become increasingly aware of their health and there’s never been a better time to talk about it.

‘Caring for our Communities 2022’ hosted by Mark Webb, Chair of North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group, aims to raise awareness about different conditions and provide information about some of the local services there to help people manage their health.

“In 2019, we hosted a marketplace event where members of our community were able to find out lots of information from a variety of organisations face to face. Sadly, due to Covid we are not able to host another one of those public events at the moment, so we thought we would bring it to you virtually”, explained Mark Webb.

“We have a fantastic line up of speakers and hope you can join us for what will be a very informative session”.

The session includes information about:

  • Pharmacies – the services and advice they can offer to help you manage your health.
  • Cancer Champions – find out about the training offered by Care Plus Group to help members of the community have conversations with friends, family, and colleagues about Cancer and where to get advice about symptoms.
  • Stroke services – hear about the latest developments in Stroke care from Dr Asem Ali, Consultant Physician in Stroke Medicine at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby
  • North East Lincolnshire Single Point of Access & the recently launched ConnectNEL service.

As always, there will be an opportunity for you to get involved through our question-and-answer session.

You can book your place by emailing nelccg.accord@nhs.net or calling the CCG Engagement Team on 0300 3000 567. If you don’t get chance to join us on the night, we will be publishing a full recording of the event on the Accord website.
